You could SUPERCHARGE your sales process . . .

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Supercharger

A supercharger increases the pressure or density of air supplied to an internal combustion engine. This gives each intake cycle of the engine more oxygen, letting it burn more fuel and do more work, thus increasing power. (Wikipedia)

In the case of live sales, the “intake cycle” being supercharged is the time the salesperson has with a prospect. The extra “oxygen” being provided is the prospect’s increased awareness and understanding of the product ahead of and after the call. The result – a more powerful sales engagement.

There are only so many hours in a day. Even your very best inside and outside salespeople can only talk to so many prospects.

What if in the time they do have, your salespeople and resellers can get more results faster for the same effort on their part? That’s what supercharging does.

It’s Not What You Say

Like Frank Luntz says, “It’s not what you say, it’s what people hear.”

I and my consulting colleagues each have between 20 and 30 years of experience in working with end user customers and their integrators.

Rarely do prospects give you the kind of feedback you need about the collateral pieces they read (ads, brochures, data sheets, case studies, A&E specs, web pages, blog entries, and so on). They have other things on their mind. Plus – and most importantly – they don’t know when they’ve gotten wrong impressions. They don’t know when any of your unique value points are missing. How could they?

We can view your materials through the “eyes of your customers” and identify the interest-killing elements and what to do about them. Book your 20-minute supercharge appointment now, or continue reading.

What People Hear

For example, it may sound great to say, “Be among the first to deploy this amazing new technology through our free pilot program!”

But when that message arrives to a target market whose typical new technology experiences have been horrible, they can’t press the delete key fast enough! They definitely don’t want your new technology and they definitely don’t want to be among the first to try it.

Maybe there is nothing wrong with your materials and they are 100% doing the job you want them to do. But what if they aren’t?

How to Find Out

For a short time we’re providing a free 20-minute analysis of a sampling of your collateral. We have checklists that we’ve developed for competitive RFP response evaluations and other competitive analysis situations, and we’ve expanded them just for this evaluation service.

We’ll review three pieces with you, what you consider to be:

  • Your best piece
  • Your worst piece
  • Another piece of your choosing

They don’t have to be the same type of piece. They can be three different types from among brochures, data sheets, case studies, A&E specs, web pages, blog entries, or another category you want to check.

I’ll do Part 1 of the analysis myself ahead of our 20-minute review session, and we’ll perform Part 2 together during our session (using GoToMeeting, Microsoft Teams, Zoom or your preferred application).

We’ll tell you if we think you don’t need our help (it happens sometimes) or we’ll have explained what kind of improvements can be made and see if you agree. If you do, we’ll determine how we can help you in one of two ways (differences highlighted in blue):

  • Do It Yourself:
    • You select the documents and materials that need improving (maybe a lot, maybe a little)
    • We review and mark up the documents
    • Make notes about changes needed and review with you
    • You have the corrections and improvements made
    • We review and comment on the updated versions
  • Outsourced to RBCS:
    • You select the documents and materials that need improving (maybe a lot, maybe a little)
    • We review and mark up the documents
    • Make notes about changes needed and review with you
    • We make the corrections and improvements made
    • We review the updated versions collaboratively and finalize them
