“Real Words or Buzzwords?” Series Wins Two Prestigious Journalism Awards

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

I’m happy to be sharing the news that my “Real Words or Buzzwords?” article series on SecurityInfoWatch.com has received two prestigious awards from the American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE):

  • 2020 Regional Gold Award for Excellence in Journalism
  • 2020 National Bronze Award for Excellence in Journalism

ASBPE is the professional association for full-time and freelance editors, writers, art directors, and designers employed in the business, trade, and specialty press. ASPBE is widely known for its annual Awards of Excellence competition, which recognizes the best in editorial, design, and online journalism achievement.

This ongoing article series, currently at 58 articles and growing, about how real words become empty words and stifle technology progress in the physical security industry.

But it’s also about lesser known aspects of advancing technology that while their terminology is in common use, the general knowledge about them is incomplete. These tidbits of deeper knowledge illuminate sources of competitive opportunities for security technology advancement.

Jump to the very first article for a good introduction to the series. Each article’s page has a list of all articles, so you can pick and choose which topics to read next, based on your personal interests.

I hope you find the article series informative and helpful.

Also new: a page on SecurityInfoWatch.com just went up that lists my magazine and online articles (newest at the top) for the past 12 years. Yikes, it’s a long one!

Best regards,
Ray
