Jill Allison brings 20 years of experience in the security industry and expertise in applying emerging technologies to manage enterprise, information and network security risks.

She is the CEO of FireWorks Security Ventures, a security management consultancy since 1993, supporting security clients such as the National Biometric Security Project or NBSP (www.nationalbiometric.org) and Datacard Group.

Her corporate experience includes security strategy and technology business development for Cylink, SDI, Datacard, SAIC, Pinkerton's, Inc., Iridian Technologies, CertifiedTime, Voltaire, WarRoom Research, Penn Central Technical Security and Vitro Security Engineering.

Jill has managed engagements serving Fortune 500 corporations, start-up technology ventures, universities and government agencies in areas of security technology, compliance risk management and ROI business case development. Her areas of expertise include convergence strategy, identity management, biometrics, strong authentication and smart card solutions.

Jill is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). She has an MBA in Strategic and Entrepreneurial Management from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania; a Masters degree in International Management in Marketing from the American Graduate School of International Management; and a Bachelors of Arts degree in Economics from Gustavus Adolphus College.

She is a member of the ASIS International IT Security Council and contributes technical presentations on security and risk management issues at conferences worldwide. She has published articles on security in ASIS Security Management, Security Technology & Design and Access Control magazines.
